Fatherhood

FATHERHOOD AND CO-PARENTING

Our Fatherhood program is designed to help restore the role of Black men as nonresident fathers who collaborate with their ex-partners in order to parent, manage, and engage with their children.   The goal of this project is to help create more functional families and to classify the undercurrents that keep fathers from sharing in the parenting process, and also provide training in ways to overcome mother/father alienation so that non-custodial fathers can be more deeply involved in shared parenting by utilizing our co-parenting and team parenting curriculum. This project will enable parents, who have traumatized personal relationships, to come together and rebuild a more amiable relationship for the sake of the children, where both parents can provide their children with love, care, discipline, and knowledge.
